Torbay Clearance Services SDFL champions Buckfastleigh Rangers and Herald Cup holders Kingsteignton Athletic will play each other for the first South Devon League honour of the 2022/23 season – the Charity Shield – on Friday 19th August (6.30pm KO).

For the second successive season, the tournament will be held at the Foxhole Ground, home of the newly merged Totnes, Dartington and Meadowbrook FC. Last season’s final went down to the wire, with East Allington United beating Meadowbrook Athletic on penalties.

With Kingsteignton Athletic winning promotion from Division One last season, the Shield will be their first chance to see how they measure up against the defending champions. It will also give spectators a preview of what should be another competitive Premier Division this season.
