Good Evening All.
Hope you all had a good Christmas and were able to stay safe.
Following today’s Government announcement which now puts South Devon / South Hams / Plymouth into Tier 3, the TCS SDFL management have decided on the following amendments that come into force immediately.
As organised team sports are permitted in Tier 3 we are prepared to support teams that wish to continue playing but these teams must update their COVID protocols as recommended by DCFA for match days and any training sessions they take part in.
Any team that continues to play and is found to not have proper COVID protocols will have their fixtures suspended with tariffs.
We are also aware that some clubs do not wish to play any fixtures whilst in Tier 3 and we are happy to support that decision without any penalty.
Action to take:
If your team / club do not want to play any games whilst we are in Tier 3, you must inform the League Secretary by Noon on Friday 01/01/21. I must remind you that you cannot pick and choose weeks to play. This only relates to TCS SDFL games while we remain in Tier 3.
If your team / club decide to continue playing, please check Full-Time/our website for fixture changes and the DCFA website for updated COVID protocols There is no need to contact the league unless you have specific questions that are COVID related.
Finally, thank you for what you continue to do for SDL football and I would ask that you ask every single person in your club to remain vigilant in uncertain times and restock on sanitiser, making sure that it is not only visible but used at every opportunity. Hopefully, with your help, we can continue to play football even if we all get changed in the car park.
Stay safe All.
