Buckland Athletic Under-12s continued their storming start to the season with another double-figure haul and clean sheet away at West Exe.

Codi Dicken once again opened up the scoring after she intercepted the goalkeeper’s clearance. Buckland piled on the pressure in a dominant half and Robyn Mitchell soon made it 2-0 from close range. Ava Mitchell then scored when she was put through in the centre and Ava soon added another, her cross from the right going straight in. Erica Carey then set up Codi who finished into the left corner for 5-0. A third hat-trick in as many games followed as Codi netted again. A great team goal, started by Nina Hocking at the back and finished by Georgia Turner made it 7-0 and then Codi found the net again with a fine run and powerful finish for her fourth and Buckland’s eighth.

After hardly entering the Buckland half in the first half, West Exe were a much tougher proposition after the break. However, when Mia Davenport’s shot was saved, Codi was on hand to follow up and make it 9-0. Robyn’s long shot then took the goalscoring into double figures before two more goals from Codi, the second following a nice short pass from Mia, made it 12-0. West Exe then hit the crossbar as they sought a consolation before Codi drove through and fired into the corner for her eighth and a 13th for the Yellows.
