Conditions were boggy underfoot and Buckland started slowly in this one, putting themselves under pressure in the opening stages. However, they grew into the half and deservedly went ahead before the break, Ava Mitchell squeezing the ball through to Codi Dicken who forced the ball over the line after the visitors had won a number of corners.

Buckland were more confident in the second half and doubled their lead when Codi coolly finished off an attacking move. Georgia Turner then set up Codi for her hat-trick. The Yellows were flying now and finished the game strongly, Ava scoring goal number four and Codi netting her fourth after Courtney Horne’s powerful shot had crashed down off the bar. Courtney did get her goal though, Ava showing stength and determination down the right and playing a great ball in.

Buckland will now play Cullompton Rangers in the semi-final in March for the opportunity to play Crediton United or Twyford Spartans in the final.
