Report
Culm Sampford put on a strong display to earn a deserved point at Buckland and leave the Yellows realistically needing to win all of their remaining six games to win the league.
Buckland once again started slowly and were fortunate not to go one down within the first few seconds, the visitors hitting the post during their first attack. Buckland took a while to settle but eventually began to play some good football. They were rewarded just before half-time when Codi Dicken broke the deadlock.
However, the Yellows failed to capitalise on the lead and conceded a goal, scored by Katie Gubb, early in the second half. Culm Sampford then had the better of the chances in a fairly even second half which left Buckland relieved to get a point.
With goalkeeper Courtney Crocombe out due to injury, Erica Carey deputised in goal and played her full part in ensuring Buckland didn’t lose this game.
