The first game of a new season saw Stoke Gabriel first team travel to Torridgeside AFC in North Devon.
This was to be a difficult game as young players were stepped up to the mark with some experienced players in our team to provide a Peninsula side to play at the highest level possible for Stoke Gabriel FC. Even though the score was against us at the end, the team showed their true determination and in spells of the game, held their own.
We as a club are proud of the managers and the squad for helping us provide a team in this tough league, and we will get stronger over the next few weeks.
Thank you to Torridgeside for their hospitality. And to the supporters that followed us to the away game.
