The Clubnets Blog #3

Ali and I have been around the grounds today taking stock shots for the Devon Football League and South Devon Football League websites.

Highlights of the afternoon were:

  • WBB missing an open goal in the opening minutes of their game against Waldon Res. I believe the player made up for it later with one of Wattsie’s three goals in a 3-1 win.
  • A pitch invasion from two lads on bikes at Osborne Park. After cycling onto the pitch they proceeded to hurl abuse at the players who responded by basically laughing at them.
  • Arriving at Homers Heath and asking two spectators with a radio the score. They managed to give me practically every score in the country and just couldn’t understand I just wanted to know the score at that actual game!
  • A couple of great saves by the Buckland goalkeeper in a battling second half against Plympton.
  • Dan Rankin ignoring instructions not to shoot with his right foot by smashing the winning goal into the top right.

Four new Clubnets sites coming soon!

It’s been a busy week on the new website front. We have a couple of club websites almost ready to go live, a third just being mocked up and a fourth on the waiting list.

Exclusive season sponsor spot still up for grabs

With 8 websites live and 4 on the way, Clubnets now reaches sports fans and players from Plymouth to Exeter. We have space for one sponsor whose logo/ad will appear prominently on all present and future websites.
