United Back To Second As MAP Continue To Dominate

Marine Academy Plymouth Ladies maintained their eleven-point advantage at the top of the South West Regional Women’s Premier League, with a comprehensive 8-0 victory over Poole Town Ladies, the team that Torquay visits next Sunday. Four goals for Samantha Drewery and a hat-trick for Carmen Morison… helped MAP onto a 33-point tally from fourteen games.

United’s 5-1 win at Pucklechurch Sports Ladies takes them back to the second spot with 22 points and four games in hand on the leaders, on goal difference from Forest Green Rovers Women.

But Rovers suffered their third defeat of the season, as they lost 3-2 at Sherborne Town Ladies, who moved to within a point of Rovers and United. Erin Williams bagged a brace for Rovers, but it was Chloe Snook’s hat-trick that sealed the points for Sherborne. Snook is now the joint top scorer with fifteen so far this campaign.

Frampton Rangers Ladies match at Ilminster Town Ladies was postponed, allowing AEK Boco Ladies to move up to sixth with a 6-3 win at AFC St Austell Ladies. Boco’s Lucy Atkinson kept up her impressive scoring record with a hat-trick, while St Austell’s three goals almost doubled the season tally for the team at the bottom!
