Title Race Continues As More Teams Finish Campaign – Round Up

With the 2024/25 South West Regional Women’s Premier League gradually drawing to a close, many sides are finishing out their campaigns, but there are still key issues at both top and bottom to be decided.

United’s goalless draw at Marine Academy Plymouth Ladies sends the title battle on for at least another week. M.A.P. finish their season on 49 points, with United five points behind, and having to visit Sherborne Town Ladies next week, and host Pucklechurch Sports on May 18th. Two wins give United the title.

Sherborne can still finish second, and moved to within a point of United with just next week’s fixture remaining. They were 4-1 winners at Ilminster Town Ladies in their penultimate league outing. Chloe Snook bagged her 23rd of the season, now four ahead of United’s Lucy Solloway, and Imogen Miller’s second-half hat-trick takes her season total to fifteen. Ilminster finish their season on 23 points.

In the other game of the weekend, basement side, AFC St Austell Ladies lost 6-0 at home to United’s final opponents, Pucklechurch Sports Ladies. Amy Jeffries scored twice to take her season tally to thirteen. Chloe Rogers also scored a brace.
