Leaders Extend Advantage At The Top – Round Up

With United’s match at AFC St Austell on Sunday postponed, some of the teams around them had an opportunity to increase the pressure on Torquay by getting more points in the bag.

Leaders, Marine Academy Plymouth Ladies hosted Frampton Rangers Ladies, where Carmen Morison’s sole strike gave the hosts all three points. MAP are now seven points ahead of United, who remain in fourth place, but with three games in hand, and a potentially pivotal clash with the Plymouth side next weekend.

Third-placed Sherborne Town Ladies against Pucklechurch Sports Ladies also fell foul of the weather with the Dorset pitch waterlogged.

And Poole Town Ladies and AEK Boco Ladies met at the Dorset County Ground, where they shared the points in a 2-2 draw. Emma King scored twice for the hosts but Boco fought back with goals from Courtney Adams and Lucy Atkinson. Both sides are now on 11 points from ten games and remain eighth and seventh respectively.
