With United slipping up at home on Sunday, it wasn’t all doom and gloom as the title race tightened even further. South West Regional Women’s Premier League leaders, Marine Academy Plymouth Ladies, were unable to exert any pressure, as their match at Pucklechurch Sports Ladies was postponed.
Katie Jones was on target for third-placed Forest Green Rovers Women, but they couldn’t capitalise either, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ilminster Sports Ladies.
Sherborne Town Ladies win over United at Ivybridge leapfrogs them over United into third spot, but the Dorset side are only two points ahead, having played two games more.
Shannon Francis scored twice as a strengthened Frampton Rangers Ladies beat Bishops Lydeard Ladies 3-0, to move into sixth place. Lydeard remains in the bottom two.
And Poole Town Ladies eased themselves away from the relegation zone with a comprehensive 6-1 thrashing of AFC St Austell Ladies. Emma King grabbed a hat-trick and Madison Kemp scored twice.
Battle resumes in the division on 5th January 2025, when 3 of the top four are in action.
