Whatever they name them, it appears the trough of early winter storms hitting the UK is the only winner, as the South West Regional Women’s Premier League is once again decimated by strong winds and heavy rain.
This means Torquay United’s scheduled fixture at Ilminster Town Ladies today has been postponed, the third such cancellation in as many weeks. United have still played just once since their FA Cup exit to Bridgewater at the start of November.
The fixture will be rescheduled in due course.
It leaves Torquay with just one more match in 2024, at home to Sherborne Town Ladies, which will take place next Sunday, 15th December. The game has already been scheduled for the 3G surface at Ivybridge Community College, with the usual 2pm kick-off.
