South West Regional Women’s Premier League leaders, Forest Green Rovers Women kept up their perfect start to the campaign, with a 1-0 win over Marine Academy Plymouth Ladies, who’d started the day in the second spot. Irene Aguado’s 29th-minute strike was enough to give Rovers all three points.
Sherborne Town Ladies are level on points with United and M.A.P. after a 3-1 win at Bishops Lydeard Ladies. Kelly Snook was again on target for the Dorset side, Sherborne’s other goals came from Imogen Miller and Charlotte Harmer.
Ilminster Town Ladies are fifth after a 7-2 demolition of United’s next opponents, AFC St Austell Town Ladies. Substitute, Megan Boulton bagged both goals for the Cornish visitors, while there was a brace each for Ilminster’s Aimee Kingdon and Ashleigh Woodroffe.
And Shannon Francis scored twice for Frampton Rangers Ladies as they got their first win of the season, at home to AEK Boco Ladies. The result leapfrogs Frampton over Boco and out of the bottom two.
