Torquay United have been drawn at home to Royal Wooton Bassett Town Ladies in the third qualifying round of this season’s Adobe Women’s F.A. Cup, following their 5-2 victory over Plympton Ladies at Coach Road, on Sunday.
The draw pits United against a side they last met in the 2022/23 South West Regional Women’s Premier League. Torquay won 4-0 in Wiltshire, before Emma Hunt’s solitary goal on the final day of the season, secured the title and United’s promotion to the National League.
The fixture will take place on Sunday 13th October with a 2 pm kick-off (venue to be confirmed), and, as well as a place in the First Round Proper up for grabs, there’s a further £4000 of prize money for the winners!
The F.A. Cup tie means that United’s scheduled South West Regional Women’s Premier League fixture, at Marine Academy Plymouth, will be re-arranged for a future date, which will be confirmed in due course.
