Mount Gould beat Newtown 4-1 in the final of the Sports Lighting Devon Premier Cup, held at Coach Road on Saturday afternoon.
The Plymouth side made a good start with two early first half goals from Bailey Mabin and a third, from Luke Cloke, just before the break. But Newtown pulled one back even later in the half, Ben Howard scoring during stoppage time at the end of the first half. Mount Gould secured the win with a fourth goal late in the second half, Cloke with his second.
Mount Gould have now won the Premier Cup three times in the last four seasons. The victory caps a great season, as Mount Gould also won the Devon Football League South-West title without dropping a point. Their only defeat this season came in the final of the DFL League Cup.
