A Torquay Teddy has a new home, as the themed soft toy from a ‘Name The Bear’ contest was presented to the competition winner – following United’s win over AEK Boco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The competition started at the 23\/24 end of season presentation and continued at the pre-season sponsor’s event. For \u00a32 a go, there was a chance to guess the name of the bear. With the disjointed season not allowing for another social event, it was decided to give the bear a home. The contest raised over \u00a3100, which will go towards the team’s end of season event this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fans, sponsors, officials, and team members from last season and this season took part – some players choosing their own name, others thinking that might be unlucky. But it WAS lucky for Rebecca McMullin, who stuck with her own name, and won the bear in the randomly selected draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
